WeChat

WeChat has no export VisaDocket can read, so use screenshots.

1. On your iPhone, open the chat and take a screenshot (side button + volume up). Scroll and take the next one, letting them overlap a little.
2. Choose a few representative screens for each month rather than the whole history.
3. In Photos, select the screenshots and AirDrop them to your Mac, or use Image Capture. Their dates come with them.
4. Or use WeChat for Mac and take screenshots with Shift-Command-4.
5. Put the screenshots in your materials folder. VisaDocket reads the text in them on your Mac, so it can cover words you choose to hide.

Tip: WeChat’s “Backup and Migrate” to a computer creates an encrypted backup that no other app can read.

Menu names can differ slightly between app versions. Keep your original exports; VisaDocket only reads them.
