Common questions

A file is listed under “Not used”

The reason is shown under the file name. Telegram and Meta exports must be in JSON format, not HTML; see the export guides.

Dates look wrong

For chats where day and month can’t be told apart, change Layout › Chat date order. Messenger and Instagram store times in UTC; choose the time zone under Layout › Time zone. Photos without a camera date are marked “date estimated”.

Hiding private details

Words you enter under Privacy are replaced with [REDACTED] in chats, emails, names and file names, and blacked out in screenshots where on-device text recognition finds them. Recognition can miss text, and photos, video frames and pages of PDF documents are not changed, so check them yourself.

The file is too large to upload

Choose Layout › Largest file to split the PDF into parts. Page numbers continue from one part to the next.

Restoring a purchase

Choose VisaDocket › Restore Purchases, or click Restore next to the unlock button.
